ll fighting games have both strengths and weaknesses. When it comes to Tekken, gamers usually find more strength in this popular fighting franchise than a weakness. Since Tekken’s debut near Christmas 1994, players felt a great joy of playing a 3D fighter of improved graphics and vast fighting styles. Over the years Tekken has had a great ordeal of sequels as well. We enjoy playing the characters storyline as we progress through the King of the Iron Fist tournament. However, in Tekken Revolution, our beloved game goes through some changes but not for the greater good. Players get to start the Arcade mode and basically work their way up the ladder until you encounter the final boss. Now, at first the gamer gets to decide only a few characters to choose from to begin the King of The Iron Fist tournament. kazuyaFavorites like Kazuya Mishima, Paul Phoenix, and Marshall Law are already unlocked but other cherishables like Jin Kazama and Bryan Fury are to be unlocked with gift points. For the first time, Tekken Revolution is a Free-to-Play game and because of this produces no story mode. The bread and butter of this series is either the Arcade mode or Network play which allows players to compete in 1 on 1 Ranked or Player matches. Also, for the first time, Tekken Revolution utilizes a coinking and ticket feature. Arcade and Player Match coins can be redeemed to play matches offline or online. These can be purchased at the Playstation Store or you can wait it out as coins replenish themselves after time progresses. Players might have to wait 10 minutes for an Arcade coin to replenish while the Player match coin goes for at least 30. Now before you drop your ideas about this game, the fun side of it is that characters’ certain skills can be upgraded like their Power and Endurance. The benefit of gaining skill points is to strengthen your character for online matches as some of them require both brawn and brains. Now, Tekken has always been about great graphics and smooth combat fighting. This installment does that yet again. Combos are really simple to pull off and gameplay is almost like lightning. Introduced are Super Arts which are moves the player can perform with the fighter that do double damage and give them a brief second of invulnerability, something that proves extremely useful in this fighting game. This indeed is a really great starter for inexperienced players to the franchise. It gives new and upcoming players a chance to try out the series and possibly buy future installments. This Free-To-Play game gains attention from newer audiences along with returning veteran players and so far… gets the thumbs up.
